In this talk -- intended for non-physicists -- I will give an expository account of basic ideas in quantum field theory and explain what Feynman diagrams are. These diagrams have attracted the interest of logicians and categorists in addition to being a staple of physicists. I will not say anything original, but I hope to stimulate the interest of people interested in diagrammatic reasoning. Otherwise it can be viewed as good clean fun.
