F# "V1" lays a foundation of a supported typed functional language in a mainstream development environment. Where will we go from here? I'll give an informal outline of some possible directions for F# in language and tools, from distributed programming to simplifying web development. I'll also look at some of the more innovative things people are doing with F#, including projects that borrow much from LINKS. Finally I'll look at some more speculative research directions.
